Toy safety

It is very important to make sure all toys you buy are purchased from reputable sources.  There are very strict laws regulating the manufacture and sale of toys and games, so make sure you know where you are buying them from.

In general the well known UK High Street and Online toy retailers can be relied upon to comply with all the necessary rules and regulations and to be very quick to implement withdrawal from sale and recall policies when required.

One problem which has been experienced in the past is the use of unsuitable chemicals in the manufacture of toys.  For example some paints contain lead, which can be very harmful to babies and small children if they chew the toys, which they very often do.
